The federal funding that supports Public Media is at risk of being eliminated. Your PBS viewing experience is in danger of going away. Now is a critical time to act.

Memories of vaccines past with Janet Timmerman

Janet Timmerman is a small-town historian who knows what her county and state went through to fight the polio epidemic in the 1950s and 60s. She sees similarities between responses to polio and COVID-19 and has drawn conclusions about how history will view the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, Timmerman has been very public with her pro-COVID-19 vaccine sentiments.

Dube Ganamo lives in the Cedar Riverside area of Minneapolis. He has vast experience working as a community advocate. When COVID-19 hit, he spread information about the benefits of masking and getting vaccinated. Some people wouldn't talk to him, thinking he had COVID-19 because he was wearing a mask; but he carried on, working to spread truthful information about COVID-19 and the vaccine.
