Season 36 of Prairie Yard & Garden premieres with Dan & Jerry’s Greenhouses

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — The 36th season of Prairie Yard & Garden premieres on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. on Pioneer PBS. The venerated Mary Holm returns for her ninth season hosting the popular Midwest gardening program.

In this episode, Holm will take viewers on a special trip to Dan & Jerry's Greenhouses. Located in Monticello, Dan & Jerry's Greenhouses is one of the largest production greenhouses in the Upper Midwest. The program features a tour of the facility where viewers will be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at their garden center and wholesale operations. ​​

Amongst the long rows of potted plants and automated potting and bedding systems, Plant Manager Tim Sawatzke will explain how Dan and Jerry’s Greenhouses prepares for each new growing season.

People in Pioneer PBS’s viewing area are able to live stream this episode at www.pioneer.org/live. “Spring Plant Production” will be repeated on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 4 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. and will be available for online viewing at www.pioneer.org/pyg and on YouTube immediately after the broadcast.
