GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, August 15, 2024 - You are invited to celebrate LANDMARKS with its final lasting adventure. Come out to Pioneer PBS in Granite Falls Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. as we look back at what has made this series so memorable. Together we’ll honor the rich local history, stories from the past, and the remarkable individuals who have been a part of this incredible show. The event is free and open to the public.

Since 2019 Doug Ohman and Timothy Hale Bakken have traveled together exploring the stories and meeting the people who make up the great state of Minnesota. LANDMARKS, and other local productions, wouldn’t be possible without the support of Pioneer PBS’s generous members.

Attendees will be among the first to see a snippet of the eighth, and final, episode of LANDMARKS, following the scenic Minnesota River Valley, which is still in production. Ohman, local celebrity and host, and Bakken, producer, videographer and editor, will be in attendance. They will share their LANDMARKS experiences and anecdotes and answer your questions.

Attendees can expect to enjoy fair-style food and a meet and greet with guests featured in the LANDMARKS series in addition to Ohman and Bakken.

The event also features a silent auction with coveted out-of-print books authored by Doug Ohman and exclusive LANDMARKS membership memorabilia. Enjoy a LANDMARKS: Lasting Adventures memory reel highlighting all seven LANDMARKS programs, trivia and photo opportunities.

Join us as we celebrate and honor the remarkable individuals who have been a part of this incredible journey. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to connect with the community and be part of a memorable and nostalgic afternoon.

About LANDMARKS
Throughout Minnesota, many of our historic landmarks have or are being forgotten and lost. LANDMARKS features many of these local landmarks in hopes of bringing newfound appreciation to them. LANDMARKS is hosted by Doug Ohman, a freelance photographer, author, public speaker, storyteller and historian. Pioneer PBS’s Timothy H. Bakken is the videographer and editor of the program with production assistance provided by Matthew Johnson. Support for LANDMARKS is provided by contributions from the voters of Minnesota through a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
