GRANITE FALLS, Minn — The public is invited to participate in a special, free online screening and discussion event on Thursday January 14, 2020 at 4 p.m. CST with the creators of Prairie Yard & Garden -- the show that inspires well-being through the growing and enjoyment of plants on Pioneer PBS. Those interested in taking part in this event can register at www.pioneer.org/pyg.

The 34th season of PY&G will feature a fresh, new look and a new theme song with veteran executive producer/director Mike Cihak behind the camera and Mary Holm returning for her seventh season as host. The screening event will showcase segments from the upcoming show about Pat Hein of Morris who designs floral containers in her very own garden "she-shed." The online event will also preview clips from a new episode on shrub pruning featuring tips from Gary Johnson of the University of Minnesota. Participants in the online Zoom event will be able to ask questions and suggest topics for future programs.

The premiere episode of PY&G season 34 will be broadcast on Thursday, January 21 at 7:30 p.m. -- one week after this special online advance screening and discussion event.

PY&G is one of the longest running horticulture education programs in the Upper Midwest. Production sponsorship is provided by ACIRA, Heartland Motors, Shalom Hill Farm and the Friends of PY&G.
