The Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund has awarded a billion dollars to more than 2,500 projects that protect, conserve, preserve and enhance Minnesota’s natural resources. This playlist includes many of these projects featured on Prairie Sportsman, an outdoor show produced by Pioneer PBS for all Minnesota PBS stations.
The State of Minnesota directs 40 percent of the state’s lottery proceeds to the Trust Fund. About 5 percent of those funds are available annually to spend on environmental projects recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources and voted on by the State Legislature. Every county in Minnesota has benefited from this investment.
