GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, Jan. 29, 2026 — Pioneer PBS premieres a new Pioneer PBS Original, “The Magic of Iceland,” featuring Icelandic storyteller Júlía Óttarsdóttir Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. on Pioneer PBS.
From the Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Award-winning Postcards team, “The Magic of Iceland” explores Iceland through the perspective of Júlía Óttarsdóttir, who leads viewers to several of the country’s well-known natural landmarks.

Through Óttarsdóttir’s story, the program also introduces other Icelanders, including her parents, who share personal experiences and beliefs connected to the country’s long-standing traditions and cultural identity.
