GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, Jan. 22, 2026 — The premiere of the 39th season of Prairie Yard & Garden airs Thursday, Jan. 29, at 7:30 p.m. on Pioneer PBS. Join host Mary Holm as she travels to Dawson and Boyd, Minnesota, to meet with Rhyan Schicker and her dedicated team of colleagues and volunteers who advocate for monarchs and vital pollinators in the season opener “Pollinator Pathways.”
This team’s grassroots effort is leading a movement in the Dawson and Boyd areas, planting strategically placed native gardens to benefit the environment and local aesthetics. The results are stunning and their collective work in private yards, churches, and public areas speaks for itself and is crucial for creating healthy, thriving habitats.
“Pollinator Pathways," and subsequent episodes of PY&G, rebroadcast Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Mondays at 1 p.m. following the initial air date on Pioneer PBS.
