GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — Two innovative approaches for inspiring high school-aged students to pursue technical careers will be explored on the next Compass public affairs program on Thursday, July 25 at 9 p.m. on Pioneer PBS. The program will be rebroadcast on Sunday, July 28 at 12:30 p.m. and will be viewable online at www.pioneer.org/compass after the original airing.

Pioneer PBS President and General Manager Les Heen talks with Sadie Reiners, chief financial officer of Farmward Cooperative, and Tom Hoff, career and technical project coordinator for the Southwest West Central Service Cooperative.

Hoff will discuss the LYFT (Launch Your Future Today) initiative, which works with school districts throughout western and southwestern Minnesota to rebuild rural career and technical education programs.

Reiners will share how Technology and Trades on the Prairie (TTOP) is getting students engaged in technical careers through a one-day, hands-on event in Morgan.
