GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — What's ahead for road construction in western Minnesota and eastern South Dakota? While it is easy to see the cones and signs for this year's activity, there are more projects planned across the two states for 2020 and beyond. Transportation-related topics will be covered on the next Compass public affairs program on Thursday, August 1 at 9 p.m. on Pioneer PBS. The program will be rebroadcast on Sunday, August 4 at 12:30 p.m. and will be viewable online at www.pioneer.org/compass after the original airing.

Pioneer PBS President and General Manager Les Heen talks with Craig Smith, the Mitchell Region engineer for the South Dakota Department of Transportation, and Jon Huseby, Southwest Minnesota Transportation District engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Viewers with story ideas and issues they would like to see discussed on Compass are encouraged to contact Pioneer PBS via email at yourtv@pioneer.org or call the station at 1-800-726-3178.
