GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — The ingredients of how to construct a successful rain garden will be featured in the upcoming episode of Prairie Yard & Garden on Pioneer PBS to be broadcast on Thursday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. “Rain Gardens” will be rebroadcast on Saturday, April 10 at 4 p.m. and Monday, April 12 at 1 p.m. and will be available for online viewing at www.pioneer.org/pyg immediately after broadcast.

Rain gardens have become a very popular trend in the commercial and residential landscape. Their function and looks are quite important to manage water runoff and to provide habitat for pollinators. Matt Solemsaas of the Stevens County Soil and Water Conservation District joins Host Mary Holm to share the concept, design and construction of this important landscape feature.

PY&G is produced by Pioneer PBS. Production sponsorship is provided by ACIRA, Heartland Motors, Shalom Hill Farm and the Friends of PY&G.
