Grassland Jam to feature Cousin Dad and the Tony Rook Band on Saturday, April 18

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — Cousin Dad and the Tony Rook Band will be the featured acts on the upcoming broadcast of Grassland Jam — the bluegrass and Americana music program produced by Pioneer PBS. The program will air on Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m. CST and will be available for online viewing at 7:30 that night at www.pioneer.org/grasslandjam. The broadcast will be repeated on Monday, April 20 at noon.

Cousin Dad greets their audience with a lively performance filled with passion. With original music and soulful harmonics this band will leave you wanting more. Band members include Pete Mathison, Paul Chamberlain, Greg Traxler, John Soderberg, Ross Vaughan and Tom Schaefer.

Tony Rook Band brings original contemporary bluegrass music from Greensboro, North Carolina. Their music conveys authentic experiences and profound lyrics. Band members include Tony Rook on guitar, banjo and vocals; Brent Fuqua on mandolin and vocals; Terry Johnson on upright bass and vocals and Graham Sones on the five-string banjo and vocals.

Grassland Jam is produced and edited by Matthew Johnson. The program is made possible by contributions from the voters of Minnesota through a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
