GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — Pioneer PBS’s Postcards will feature a pressed flower artist in Fergus Falls, drag performer Elijah Lanz of Montevideo and Lundstrum Farm, a market garden farm near Bird Island. This program will air on Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m.
Emily Scallon is a pressed flower artist from Fergus Falls and the owner of The Foxtail Fern. The Foxtail Fern is a lifestyle brand, where Scallon offers cocktail and mocktail mix kits and her pressed flowers. Eventually, she wants to expand to be more event-centered.
Performer Elijah Lanz is also known as the drag performer Lady Jah. From Montevideo, Lanz shares the inspiration behind his events. He hosted a drag show at the Hollywood on Main in downtown Montevideo. The Postcards team was there to capture the event and to chat with Lanz about his collaborative performance style.
Lundstrum Farm is owned and operated by Zeke Lundstrum and Naviga Damrongnawin Lundstrum in Bird Island. They share their story of moving back to Zeke’s fourth generation farm to experiment with market gardening. Lundstrum and Damrongnawin focus on growing colorful and delicious produce both for themselves to use and to sell at local farmers’ markets.
