GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — Pioneer PBS will host three debates on Thursday, October 1 featuring District 17 House and Senate candidates. Starting at 7 p.m., the first debate will be between incumbent Minnesota House District 17A Representative Tim Miller (R) of Prinsburg and challenger Ben Dolan (DFL) of Appleton. At 8 p.m. Minnesota House District 17B Representative Dave Baker (R) of Willmar will debate challenger Logan Kortgard (DFL) of Willmar. At 9 p.m., Minnesota Senate District 17 incumbent Andrew Lang (R) of Olivia and challenger Fernando Alvarado (DFL) of Willmar will respond to viewer’s questions. These debates will be broadcast live from Pioneer PBS’s studio in Granite Falls and will be moderated by Jim Thoreen.
