GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — Pioneer Public Television continues to reach out from our new studio in Granite Falls with special events throughout the region.
On Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 7 p.m. the Stevens County Historical Society in cooperation with Pioneer Public Television will be sponsoring an advance screening of a new Prairie Yard & Garden episode “Barn Quilts and Flowers” featuring Ward Voorhees and the Stevens County barn quilt trail.The event will be held at the Stevens County Historical Society building at 116 W. 6th Street in Morris. Pioneer will present an advance screening of our brand new program LANDMARKS on Thursday, February 28 at 2 p.m at the Palace Theatre in Luverne. Hosted by Minnesota photographer and storyteller Doug Ohman, LANDMARKS highlights the three most recognized icons of western and southwestern Minnesota: churches, barns and schoolhouses. LANDMARKS will be broadcast for the first time on Saturday, March 9 at 7 p.m.
Pioneer will present another advance screening of LANDMARKS on Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m. at the Grand Theatre in Madison. Doug Ohman and Pioneer’s Tim Bakken will be on hand to tell stories about their adventures together while making this new Pioneer Legacy program.
LANDMARKS is made possible by contributions from the voters of Minnesota through a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
