GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — The Pioneer PBS board is conducting a national search to replace General Manager Les Heen who left last February to take a job in government relations at the Libby Law Firm in St. Paul. Station Manager Jon Panzer has been serving as interim general manager since that time and has declined an offer to take the position on a permanent basis. The Pioneer PBS board hired Livingston Associates to perform a national search. More than 30 individuals have applied for the position. These candidates are being vetted via video interviews and it is expected that the finalists will be visiting the station and local area in person in July. Board chair Mark A. Olson of Willmar has stated that he is hopeful to have a new president/GM hired in August.
