GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, March 28, 2024 - The next episode of Postcards features musician David Sendrós Dib, who immigrated from Spain to Madison, Minnesota; Nicole Houff who creates unique scenes with vintage Barbies; and drag performer Ebony Evers who creates and wears their own designs. “Spanish Musician, Barbie Photographer, Fashion Designer” airs on Pioneer PBS Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. and repeats the following Sunday at 7 p.m. and Monday at 1:30 p.m.
David Sendrós Dib is an immigrant living in Madison, Minnesota. He enjoys sharing aspects of his Spanish/Catalan heritage through music and meals.
“One of the things that being an immigrant gives you is understanding the world from different perspectives,” says Dib.
Whether in Barcelona or Madison, Dib and his wife, Hannah Fields, enjoy their journey of discovery and love of culture.
Nicole Houff is a photographer who specializes in Barbie art portraits, featuring imaginative and evocative scenes created from her collection of vintage and replica Barbie dolls.
Ebony Evers of Burnsville, Minnesota, is a drag performer who designs and creates their own garments for performances.
