Prairie Yard & Garden to focus on weed control with Frank Forcella of Morris on Jan. 27

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — The upcoming Prairie Yard & Garden show on Thursday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. on Pioneer PBS will delve into the world of weeds. Host Mary Holm visits with Frank Forcella, a retired weed specialist who used to work for the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service Soils (NRCS) lab in Morris. In the program, Forcella explains why the identification of grassy and broadleaf weeds is so important and he shares some of the steps to control them. “In the Weeds” will be repeated on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. and will be available for online viewing at www.pioneer.org/pyg and on YouTube immediately after the broadcast.
