GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, April 2, 2026 “Pruning Hydrangea,” the next episode of Prairie Yard & Garden, airs Thursday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. on Pioneer PBS. In the episode, host Mary Holm visits Audrey Busch at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, where Busch cares for hundreds of hydrangeas.

Hydrangeas are known for their large, showy blooms across many varieties, but knowing when to prune them can be confusing. Busch demonstrates the proper timing and techniques for pruning these popular shrubs, helping gardeners encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering.
