GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, March 5, 2026 —Host Bret Amundson joins a group of long-time friends on their annual Black Friday rabbit hunt and travels to the Raptor Center in the third episode of season 17 of Prairie Sportsman. “Rabbit Hunting and Raptor Rehab” airs Sunday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. on Pioneer PBS.
“Black Friday Rabbits” follows host Bret Amundson the day after Thanksgiving as he joins a group of men on their 20th annual rabbit hunt. The tradition has since become more than a hunt. It’s a chance for old friends to get together, have fun and tease one another about their shooting skills.
“The Raptor Center” helps rehabilitate, research and educate people about Minnesota’s raptors. "We are a scientific based organization that really is devoted to ensuring the health of raptors and the world we all share,” said Lori Arent, Interim Director. The center’s hospital not only clearly cares for these birds, but also has an educational camp where students experience close encounters with these magnificent birds of prey.
Prairie Sportsman rebroadcasts Mondays at 12:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. following the initial air date on Pioneer PBS.
