GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, April 23, 2026 — New stories from across the region continue in Season 17 of Postcards Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m. on Pioneer PBS.
Veteran “jumper” members Nick Dahlen and Jay Donner of the Little Crow Water Ski Team in New London share stories about the unique, exciting and often dangerous world of competitive show water skiing.
“There’s risks but you try not to go out there unprepared,” Dahlen said.
Then, Mother’s Cupboard in downtown New London offers restorative foods, teas, juices and elixirs to elevate the mind and body.
The episode also features Mario Callens, who grew up surrounded by a musical heritage from his parents and 8 older siblings, but after discovering a CD of old country music in the glovebox of a vehicle his family had purchased, he fell in love with the sound of classic outlaw country from the 70s - 80s and began to cultivate his own path through the world of music.
“Never thought I would find myself where I’m at today, just from learning a few chords that my dad taught me so long ago, “ Callens said.
Postcards rebroadcasts Sundays at 7 p.m. and Mondays at 1:30 p.m. following the initial airing on Pioneer PBS.
