PY&G Host Mary Holm visits with Zachary Paige of North Circle Seeds who discusses his company’s commitment to creating an ecologically diverse, equitable and inclusive food system. The organization does this through a circle of Midwestern growers who produce regionally adapted seed. Founded in 2019, the company operates under the principles of the Open Source Seed Initiative. This initiative is dedicated to maintaining fair and open access to plant genetic resources worldwide in order to ensure the availability of germplasm to farmers, gardeners, breeders and communities of this and future generations.
