GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, May 15, 2024 - Pioneer PBS is hosting an inaugural LANDMARKS membership event Sunday, June 2 located at Pioneer PBS Studio (1 Pioneer Drive, Granite Falls). Celebrate rich local history and honor the remarkable individuals who have been a part of this incredible LANDMARKS journey.
Be among the first to view LANDMARKS: Lasting Adventures, a memory reel showcasing all seven episodes of this series that follows host/producer Doug Ohman as he discovers iconic landmarks in Pioneer PBS’s viewing area. "Thank you for the opportunity to host LANDMARKS. During the past six years we have traveled together exploring the stories and meeting the people who make up the great state of Minnesota," said Ohman.
Showings occur at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and are limited to 70 guests each. LANDMARKS: Lasting Adventures is free and open to the public. Pre-register by visiting pioneer.org/events or by calling 800-726-3178.
Ohman will be joined by producer/editor Timothy H. Bakken, together with featured guests sharing behind-the-scenes anecdotes and memories. “I enjoy meeting the people, hearing their stories and preserving their information for the next generation,” said Bakken.
After the trip down memory lane, attendees will be treated to refreshments, trivia and photo opportunities. Exclusive LANDMARKS membership memorabilia will be available. “As the only station in western Minnesota, our members play a critical part in our ability to continue this vital work bringing the world to our viewers. We hope that more of our community will consider becoming members and playing a part in carrying on programs like LANDMARKS,” said President/General Manager Shari Lamke.
