GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, August 7, 2024 – While Pioneer PBS serves two DirecTV feeds, one to the Twin Cities and one to Sioux Falls, the Twin Cities branch has reopened our signal back to you.

“We appreciate all of the dedicated staff who have vigilantly worked on this issue day in and day out as well as you, the viewers’, patience on this long journey to restore DirecTV. We will persist with the same efforts in getting DirecTV out of Sioux Falls and Dish out of the Twin Cities to resume their carriage as well,”  said Director of Engineering Jennie Reedquist.

Over the past year, Pioneer PBS has made significant upgrades to improve its broadcast signal including installing new transmitters in Worthington and Appleton, moving master control operations from Appleton to Granite Falls, rebuilding our array of 12 towers spanning Western Minnesota and finalizing equipment upgrades.

Losing DirecTV and Dish was a huge, unexpected loss for Pioneer PBS, and we will continue working with DirecTV and Dish  to deliver your favorite shows to you. You are our mission!
