Societal re-entry for prisoners to be discussed on Compass April 25

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — Pioneer Public Television’s public affairs program Compass will discuss the challenges facing prisoners who have served time to re enter and become functioning members of society on Thursday, April 25 at 9 p.m. The program will be rebroadcast on Sunday, April 28 at 12:30 p.m. and viewable online at www.pioneer.org/compass after the original airing.

Pioneer President and General Manager Les Heen interviews Carrie Brightman, Re-Entry Navigator, PACT for Families Collaborative — a five-county, multi-agency partnership based in Willmar; and Elliot Johnson, program director at Renville County Jail, from Olivia. The episode will examine the programs available to help offenders make a successful transition to becoming functioning members of society once more.
