Fireside Collective to kick-off Grassland Jam Season 6 Saturday, January 25

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — Fireside Collective will be the featured act of the premiere broadcast of Season 6 of Grassland Jam — the bluegrass and Americana music program produced by Pioneer PBS. The program will air on Saturday, January 25 at 7 p.m. CST and will be available for online viewing at 7:30 that night at www.pioneer.org/grasslandjam. The broadcast will be repeated on Monday, January 27 at noon. The performances were recorded at the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old Time Music Association Festival held in Richmond in August 2019.

Hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, Fireside Collective is a progressive folk, bluegrass and newgrass band that has earned an enthusiastic reception from traditional bluegrass and eclectic music festival audiences alike.

They have been nominated as the Momentum Band of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association with a fresh, energetic sound that’s electrifying audiences across the country.

Fireside Collective features Joe Cicero on guitar; Alex Genova on banjo; Jesse Laquinto on mandolin; Tommy Maher on resonator guitar; and Carson White on upright bass.

Grassland Jam is produced and edited by Matthew Johnson. The program is made possible by contributions from the voters of Minnesota through a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
