GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — PBS Pioneer’s Grassland Jam will feature Chris Jones & The Night Drivers on Saturday, May 25 at 7 p.m. The program will be available for online viewing immediately after the broadcast on www.pioneer.org/grasslandjam. The performance was recorded at the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old Time Music Association Festival held in Richmond in August 2018.
Nashville-based Chris Jones is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and one of the most widely heard broadcasting voices in bluegrass music. His band, The Night Drivers, features Jones on rhythm and lead guitar, Mark Stoffel on mandolin, Jon Weisberger on bass and Gina Clowes on banjo. Altogether, members of Chris Jones & The Night Drivers have won nine International Bluegrass Music Association awards and have recorded ten No. 1 songs, including two from their latest album Made to Move.
