GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — On Thursday, March 31 Pioneer PBS will release new "Postcards" stories about Historian Carol Heen, treasure hunting couple Larry and Barb Levin and Problem Solving Chief Science Advocate Jayshree Seth. The stories will be available for online viewing starting at noon through the station’s website: www.pioneer.org/postcards and YouTube Channel. The program will be aired over the Pioneer PBS broadcast network on March 31 at 7 p.m.

Local historian Carol Heen of the Maynard/Wang Township community has been working to collect information and photographs that tell the story of Archie Bush’s life. "Postcards" interviewed Heen as she talks about how Bush grew up on a farm in Wang township east of Granite Falls in the early 1900’s. Though he loved to farm, Bush’s severe hay fever caused him to pursue a business degree in Duluth where he soon was employed by a small, but entrepreneurial company called 3M. Bush went on to become a senior executive with the company and in 1953 he established the Bush Foundation which now awards $40 million a year to philanthropic organizations, primarily located in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.
