Prairie Yard & Garden features potato seed stock production in Halstad

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — Pioneer PBS’s Prairie Yard & Garden will feature Sandi Aarestad’s business of developing high-quality potato seed stock on its upcoming episode. “Valley Tissue Culture Spuds” will air on Thursday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. on Pioneer PBS.

In this episode, PY&G host Mary Holm visits Valley Tissue Culture near Halstad. Valley Tissue Culture is a family-owned business that’s been in operation for over 30 years. They offer over 100 red, yellow, russet, white and novelty potato seed varieties to growers around the country and beyond. Learn about their process in producing high-quality seed stock and their production plans for the 2023 growing season.
