Art in Motion on the Lake Wobegon Trail is dedicated to fostering and inspiring creativity, according to Founder and Owner Greg Konsor. Konsor retired from a career of grain company management and returned to his hometown of Holdingford. The Postcards team met up with him there to capture the beauty, bustle and excitement of this new cafe and creative gathering space along the Lake Wobegon Trail in central Minnesota. “My goal is to create a viable business with art and the trail in a small community,” said Konsor. “I'm out to prove that it can be successful.”

Nancy XiáoRong Valentine is a water medium artist of Chinese American heritage who was raised in Fergus Falls. Securing an artist loft studio apartment above the Kaddatz Galleries in downtown Fergus Falls helped kick-start her emerging career as a full time artist. Editor Kevin Russell weaves the interview captured by the Postcards team into this compelling portrait of a young artist exploring her Chinese heritage and her physical and mental health. “I really care about the future of rural communities,” Valentine said. “Part of that is making this region more inclusive to people who look like me.”
