GRANITE FALLS, Minnesota, October 8, 2025—Pioneer PBS will air a new special featuring Minnesota artist Noel L. Dunn, who shares his remarkable story of painting 100 warbirds and collecting signatures from the Veterans who flew them. Entitled “Signed & Served: Warbird Art on Display,” the program premieres Thursday, October 16, at 7 p.m. on Pioneer PBS (Appleton: 10-1, Worthington: 20-1, Fergus Falls: 8-1 | Dish, DirecTV, Mediacom) and will repeat Sunday, October 19, at 7 p.m. Check local listings or visit our showtimes page for additional air dates on other PBS stations in Minnesota and surrounding states.
Dunn, a watercolor artist known for his nature-inspired work, discusses his journey in this in-depth interview and shares insights into his ambitious “Signed & Served” project.
To celebrate the premiere, Pioneer PBS will host a special screening event at the Fagen Fighters WWII Museum—home to Dunn’s donated WWII paintings. Join us on Wednesday, October 15, at 1:30 p.m. in the museum’s Navy Hangar for an advance screening of the film, followed by a Q&A with the artist.
