GRANITE FALLS, Minn. — Pioneer PBS’s Postcards will feature Green Lake Lutheran Ministries’ history, the Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association and Ray Fagen Memorial Airshow. This program will air on Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m.

Green Lake Lutheran Ministries, formerly called Green Lake Bible Camp, has been a fixture of the Spicer area since 1938, serving generations of children and families. Besides offering campers a chance to experience Minnesota’s lake life, the camp also features a beautiful chapel built in the style of a traditional Norwegian stave church. Former camp director Dave Eliason shares some insights into this local landmark.

The New London-based Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association preserves the rich heritage of the region by replicating and restoring some of the log structures built by the early Norwegian immigrants to the area. Postcards features several key members of NLLHA, including Jeff Johnson, Erik Hatlestad and John Hanson, who discuss the organization and its mission during their annual celebration for the community.

The small town of Granite Falls features an unexpected spectacle in the form of Ray Fagen Memorial Airshow, held at Fagen Fighters WWII Museum every other year. With a focus on honoring WWII veterans, the airshow offers the public a glimpse of some of America's historical finest fighting machines and shares the stories of the sacrifices that were made.

People in Pioneer PBS’s viewing area can livestream this episode at www.pioneer.org/live on Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m. This episode will be repeated on Sunday, April 22 at 7 p.m. and Monday, April 24 at 1:30 p.m. The program will also be available to stream at www.pioneer.org/postcards and on Postcards’ YouTube page at www.youtube.com/@PostcardsOnPioneerPBS.
