The Brainerd-Lakes area is known for its lakes and woods, but there’s a gem amongst the tall trees right in the heart of the city: Northland Arboretum. Northland Arboretum is a member-supported, nonprofit organization that aims to connect community members to nature. Host Mary Holm talks with the arboretum’s Executive Director Candice Zimmerman about the center’s more than 400 acres of hardy trees, shrubs and perennials laced with hiking and skiing trails.
