Pioneer Public TV, a PBS-station based in Appleton, Minnesota, is seeking a full-time producer/reporter. Responsibilities: produce a 30-minute weekly public affairs program, including field production. This individual must have excellent journalistic skills, experience writing for a general audience, generating story ideas and interviewing. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal communication skills and be self-directed. Understanding of video production and on-air experience, a plus. Must be able to work independently and effectively on multiple projects while under deadline. Occasional nights and weekends. Baccalaureate degree preferred. Understanding of rural community concerns and issues in the Pioneer viewing area important. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean record for use of station vehicles. Physical requirements: must be able to perform essential job functions. Must be willing to relocate to the Appleton area.
