THE VIETNAM WAR is a 10-part, 18-hour documentary film series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick set to premiere nationwide on PBS on Sept. 17, 2017 at 7 p.m. The first five episodes will air nightly from Sunday, Sept. 17 through Thursday, Sept. 21, and the final five episodes will air nightly from Sunday, Sept. 24 through Thursday, Sept. 28. THE VIETNAM WAR will feature testimony from nearly 100 witnesses, including Americans who fought in the war, others who opposed it and Vietnamese combatants and civilians from many different perspectives.
In addition to the 6:30 p.m. broadcast of Vietnam Remembered on Sunday, Sept. 17, there will be repeat broadcasts of the local documentary on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m; Saturday, Sept. 23 at noon; Sunday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m.; Monday, Sept. 25 at 12:30 p.m and Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 10 p.m.
