Compass producer Laura Kay Prosser traveled to Willmar to interview Randy Czarnetzki and Kevin Madsen of the Glacial Ridge Curling League about their project to raise funds to construct a community event center in Spicer that would be dedicated for curling in the winter months.
For the in-studio discussion, Pioneer’s general manager Les Heen interviews Todd Johnson, Executive Director of the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission and John Benton, Director of Curling Operations for the Commission, about what amatuer sports advocates are doing to find success in rural areas of the state.
For the Compass Literature Corner, Prosser interviews author Don Orth of Olivia, Minnesota about his book "Prairie Angels" -- an uplifting collection of stories about encounters with guardian angels that ordinary everyday people living in the Renville county area have experienced.
