The Bootlickers are a dance-hall-tested Minneapolis-based old-time string band featuring with A.J. Srubas and Lee Guthrie on fiddles, Aaron Tacke on banjo, Arne Pelto on guitar, and Rina Rossi on bass and dance calls. Both Rina and A.J. were dancers with the Wild Good Chase Cloggers, and A.J. plays Cajun fiddle with the Minneapolis-based New Riverside Ramblers. The Boots are regulars in the rotation at the Monday Night Square Dance in Minneapolis and play dances and concerts around the Midwest. They play tunes and songs from many regions of the country for concerts and square dances. This high energy band will surely get your toes tapping.
The Good Intentions Bluegrass Band delivers traditional bluegrass with polish and drive. The band plays songs from the bluegrass masters as well as original material by bandleader Chris Silver. Soulful original arrangements of their songs have already established the band in the hearts of the Midwest bluegrass community. Formerly of the bands Stoney Lonesome, Tangled Roots, and the Kate Mackenzie Band, Silver plays fiddle and mandolin with a deep appreciation for traditional bluegrass music. He is joined by Banjo player Heath Loy, guitarist Mike Cramer and J D. Shaffer on the bass.
