Bank Brewery in Hendricks donates a portion of its profits to wildlife land acquisitions and historic preservation. The brewery’s name is derived from the original State Bank of Hendricks on Main Street, which Jason purchased in 2007 and renovated for his taproom.
During the annual Goose Fest in Middle River, the town’s population of 300 swells to about 5,000 over a late September weekend. The annual event started in 1975 and features a variety of family events, including a goose calling contest and goose cook-off.
