and religious doctrine. Some immigrant-built churches can be found today in their

guides viewers through church architecture, from the simple to the extraordinary,
and reveals the divine lessons intended by certain floorplans, colors and symbols.
From Orthodox onion domes to soaring steeples, the rich diversity of Old and New
World architecture adds adventure to the investigation of country churches. Episode
Three: Saving the Steeples In the midst
of America's unprecedented prosperity, rural farms and communities are facing
rapid economic decline. As 19th century churches are abandoned or torn down, we
lose important pieces of our cultural heritage. There are heroes among us; however,
leading efforts to save these tucked away sanctuaries. Country Spires' final episode
looks at the destiny of country churches and how they can be preserved. A
