The first program will address the changing nature of the grain storage and transport industry and will feature interviews with Dean Isaacson, General Manager at Western Consolidated Cooperative (West-Con) headquartered in Holloway, Minnesota and Bob Zelenka Executive Director of Minnesota Grain and Feed Association headquartered in Eagan.
West-Con recently underwent a $19.5 million dollar expansion that included adding capacity to a grain storage and handling facility in Appleton to gain access to new markets served by the Union Pacific and Twin Cities and Western railroad lines. Local Farmer Gary Nygard is interviewed in the story about West-Con’s expansion.
