PYG host Mary Holm visits with Kathy Olson, who has preserved and restored a very unique and beautiful octagon summer kitchen near Dawson, Minn. The summer kitchen was one of the most important buildings on pioneer farms. It was used to can garden produce, bake, and most importantly of all, prepare meals for large families and harvesting threshing crews.
Celebrating its 30th season, PYG is a trusted and popular program dedicated to the delivery of science-based horticulture information and practices. Over the course of every season, PYG visits with researchers, extension educators, private businesses, industry reps and exceptional gardeners to keep viewers current with the latest information and trends.
